Delta Academy
The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is designed to foster social and emotional development, leadership, and community action among middle school girls. Delta Academy is sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
The local program is led by the Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter and is open to all girls in grades 6-8 (ages 11-14 yrs.) that attend school in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. Delta Academy sessions will take place monthly.
Delta G.E.M.S
The Delta G.E.M.S. program is designed to foster social and emotional development, academic excellence, leadership, and community action among high school girls. G.E.M.S is sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
The local program is led by the Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter and is open to all girls in grades 9-12 (ages 14-18 yrs.) that attend school in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. Delta G.E.M.S. sessions will take place monthly.
Scholarships
Graduating High School Seniors,
The Winston-Salem Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. annually grants scholarships to Forsyth County high school seniors who will enroll in a 4-year college or university. Additional eligibility criteria are outlined in the application.
All applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 using the online application provided in the link below. All requested supporting documents should be uploaded with the application by the February 11th deadline.
Upon receiving and reviewing the scholarship applications, the Scholarship Committee will select applicants to participate in the interview process. The applicant interviews will be conducted in March-April 2025.
Dependents of members Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., are not eligible to apply for or receive these scholarships.
